GOP Congressman Robin Hayes says,

“Stability in Iraq ultimately depends on spreading the message of Jesus Christ, the message of peace on earth, good will towards men. Everything depends on everyone learning about the birth of the Savior.”

But Iraq already have a savior but unfortunately for Mr. Hayes it’s Muhammed, not Jesus...? I think..?

First we sent our men over there to take out the WMD’s, then it was to “spread democracy”, now you want them there to “spread the message of Jesus Christ”?

Can we relly win..?

Anyone who believes we can change a system of beliefs that has been passed down by many generations is in self-deception. Jesus walked away from towns that did not receive him. It is good to make them aware of Jesus, but we need to get out of that country asap. Our mission is done. Sending more troops will not change thousands of years of beliefs and hate. There is nothing to win there. If we need to make adjustments to our economy or our way of life, lets get on with that job, but we need to pull out of there.

Spreading the message Jesus Christ is not as important as living according to His message! What is the message that leads to peace?

Matthew 5"44-45: But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and perssecute you; 45: That ye may be children of your Father which is in heaven: for He maketh the sun rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and the unjust.

If we can't at least try to live by this we should not call ourselves Christians.

What did Mohamed teach?
There are many verses in the holy Quran and hadith, which emphasise on compassion. For instance, the Prophet said: "O people, be compassionate to others so that you may be granted compassion by God."

"If any show patience and forgive, that truly would be an exercise of courageous will and resolution in the conduct of affairs." Qur'an: Sura 42:43 (Counsel)

Why not look at what we have in common instead of pointing out differences?

Could you immagine, if all Jews, Muslims, Christians, Buddhists, Sihks, Hindus and others, who ALL have been given the teachings of compassion and forgiveness toward the "others", would live up to that? There would be peace on earth!!

Love (= compassion and forgiveness) is the answer, whatever the question!

A congressman wants to spread the message of Jesus? In Iraq? Are you serious? That's insane.

Can we win in Iraq? Depends. How do you define winning? That question has to be answered first. Bush says we're going to win but how will he know when we've won? What event or events must occur before we declare a win? The Bush administration has never defined what they mean by winning.

If winning means there's no more resistance to the occupation then we cannot win until everybody is dead.

Hmm. I was under the (mis)understanding that Muhammed declared himself to be a "prophet", not a "savior". But, to answer your question, the only way to "win" is for the people of Iraq to have SOME value on human life. And that doesn't appear to be the case.

The GOP thinks religious people are its core supporters and so the Republicans use religion as a tool just as a political tool. Its sacrilegious.

To Kill Terrorist & get Oil first then the rest . Not for Jesus.
Did he say kill ,You shall do no murder!
Why would Jesus kill?
His symbol is a cross not a sword?

So it's ok to kill to spread "the message of Jesus Christ", but not ok to kill in Allah's name. I see.
