How close do you want to get to a Priest?
Catholics are NOT the only belief with Priests.
You can introduce yourself to any Priest or Priestess, shake hands, have coffee. tell jokes (Within reason) Most Priests are nice guys who just try to help others. Sure there are a few bad eggs in the carton, there is good and bad in everything.

Anglican ministers are also called priests at least in Canada, and I expect the UK where Anglican is the "Church of England". How close can you be? I would say that becoming a priest would be the best way to get as close as possible to a priest no matter how I interpret your question. To become a priest you must be ordained as a priest. You'll have to consult the church in your country to find out the local requirements for that.

Are you saying that you would like to be friends with a priest? They are real people like the rest of us. I have been friends with priests, even an RC priest. They are all normal people who have friends like everyone else. I use to play tennis with my friend and out to dinner or the theater. It depends on your intentions. If your intentions are honorable, there is no problem. If you are a woman, some RC priests might be worried about what people will say, but my friend wasn't, he was friends with many people.

Ummmm....like as an occupation? You can attend Bible college and be a minister or pastor, assitant pastor, withoput being a preist.
Preists are Catholics dude....stay away from them.
Read 1 Peter 2:9....you already are a preist! Thats why I dont like that term.
