From the picture, I'd say the problem may be presentation. As others have said.... get a more attractive photo of her. Not easy, I'm sure. Ears up and "happy" would be a good start. She appears to have some Manchester Terrier in her. They are similar in looks to a Doberman Pinscher. But Manchesters are bigger than a Miniature Pinscher yet smaller than a Dobe. The general public shys from the some breeds... dobes being one of them especially if they want a smaller dog. Present the public with all her good points. As a past Humane Society employee, I know how people CLAIM they want the most needy dog but tend to take home the "cutie" instead. So you have to play on the heartstrings of people. Thank you for fostering her!

no i would take her in a heart beat. maybe they have a different dog in mind. she looks like a doberman. maybe a mix. but you should run an ad in the paper. put up ads in the vets office and your local animal shelter, post office.
maybe your meant to be her forever owner. think about it really. what other reason could there be. some piople are scared of those type of dogs they has such a bad rep. or they dont think they need one that big. there could be several reasons. but dont give up. if it is meant for her to be able to be a adopted maybe that person or family hasnt came along yet. but she isnt ugly at all. good luck

No - she looks sweet, but from the pic she appears to be nervous. Looks a bit like an undocked Min-Pin. Twelve years ago we adopted a mixed breed from a rescue and everyone made fun of her -- someone said she looked like Skrat from the Ice Age movie! All I ever saw was her expressive amber eyes and lovely, thick eyelashes. I truly thought she was beautiful. Losing her to old age was terrible. There is someone out there for your foster pup, someone who will look beyond what everyone else sees. Good luck!

Well that varies with everyone's different opinion but I think she is adorable. A little meat on those bones wouldn't be bad though...
Oh yeah and try advertising on petfinder.com if you haven't already. Also make sure you are describing her to potential buyers correctly. Maybe the picture you are painting in their heads don't match the dog very accurately. Good luck! :]

She's no Best in Show but she's definitely a cutie. I don't know why you can be having problems placing her. Give her hugs and kisses from me cause she's a doll.
I plan on fostering as soon as I'm able to get a house. I work with another individual who takes any dogs I find right now. Thank you, from rescuer to another.

Well I think she is really cute! Perhaps they are put off because of something else, is the dog shy? Make sure potential adoptees know the breed, color, temperament, etc. before coming to see her to prevent too many people coming and going. Don't worry, you'll find this cutie a home soon!

No she is a very cute mini pincher
I have found in fostering dogs it is best to take your time anyway. Best to find a last home for them that get them back in worse shape than when they left.

She's very cute! I foster dogs as well. I would suggest taking more pictures of her in a "natural" setting, such as playing in the yard, lying on the couch, snuggling with other dogs or humans, etc.
I hope you find a great home for her. Thanks for fostering!

I don't think it is ugly at all. I think it is cute. People shouldn't not want the dog just because of the way it looks. It is about the dog's personality and heart.
