My 6 year old male lab has always leaked pee. He just dribbled when he was a puppy and the vet said he should grow out of it. Well he hasn't and last week he got really sick and started leaking a lot. He was hospitalized and they couldn't find anything wrong with him. They put him on medication for vomiting, but he is still leaking pee like crazy. Anyone ever heard of a problem like this?

sounds like incontinence. some dogs just have problems holding their bladder, they make a medicine that if effective and inexpensive for this and the dog can live on it for the rest of their lives. the muscle that contracts and holds the bladder just may never have become strong enough and so he leaks. common thing. so ask the vet for some incontinece meds. good luck and hope this helps

Euthanasia is exceptionally radical - and intensely final - do no longer you think of? Your dogs is old,in all risk has some degreeof incontinance and a abdomen band would be the respond till now euthanasia for something the adverse dogs won't be able to help. Get a abdomen band, it velcros around your dogs, you place a pad in, and any piddle is absorbed. basic answer - and lots extra humane than putting the adverse dogs down if he's no longer in soreness and nevertheless has high quality of existence. As to the guy who reported spraying with water or vinigar - you in no way spray a dogs with vinigar and water spray is barely to quit aggressive habit you won't be able to administration any opposite direction. i wish somebody sprays that fool with vinigar whilst he gets old and incontinent - why supply an answer in case you haven't any longer any thought what you're speaking approximately and are in basic terms advocating animal cruelty - your dogs needless to say can't help this, you specific do no longer punish him for it. Like spraying Grandpa with vinigar because of the fact he's old and not as extra healthful as he was once. notice: the guy who reported yet another vet has a stable factor - there are meds that administration leakage, in case you think of your vet hasn't tried them excited by your dogs, get yet another vet. Meds do help maximum circumstances like this.

LISTEN TO CAGNEY SHE HAS GIVEN YOU THE ONLY ANSWER. Sounds like that your vet gave the wrong diagnosis.
ITS almost obvious that this is a kidney or bladder health issue.
A good vet can and will diagnose the problem correctly. I question as to why you have waited so long.

sounds like you need to take him for a second opinion, or call your vet and let them know he is still having the same problem. if you're in doubt take him to a veterinary specialist.
