I got an American Eskimo Miniature about 2 months ago, and he hasn't got better with nipping, and he is just plain bad. He was SupposeD to be an inside dog (didn't happen!) He runs out and doesn't want to come back in because he wants to play with the neighbor's dog!

What should I do with my puppy, Tazzy?!?!? I really need some advice, because my mom is threatening to give him away! I get mad at him a lot but I still love him!

Ask your vet for a referral to a dog behavioral specialist. He can work on the specific behaviors that you are having problems with and teach you how to work with your dog. Puppies are by nature hyper. He is not going to calm down overnight. But try getting the referral from your vet that would be your best bet in terms of controlling some of his negative behaviors.

Invest in some training classes at Petsmart if you don't want puppy taken away. Either that or read up on dog training and train him yourself. Fence in your yard so he can't get to the neighbors or keep him on a leash.

Have you ever heard of "The Dog Whisperer"? He's really great with dogs. Try to teach your dog to stay in the house. Treats do very well with them. Teach him with treats!

Puppies have a great deal of energy to burn off, and most of them like to chew till their teeth are full-grown. Get him a chew toy or 5.

your dog needs professional training. and now before he gets to be too dangerous and really hurts someone.

professional training, not petsmart. that's like going to walmart to have surgery.
