I used red semi-permanent dye about a week ago. The bottle didn't say how long it takes for it to come out and I really want to be blonde again. The thing is, I have no time to see a beautician. Does anybody know any quick -and cheap- ways to get it out?

Red really deposits into the hair shaft.
Some thoughts....
If you bleach it at home to try to remove the colour it may turn your hair pink.... and not a nice pink.
Unless.... you find a bleach at the drug store that is made to remove the colour and follow it the next day or two after with a light brown with an ashy base to neutralize the pink tone in your hair.
****Do strand tests first!!!****
That time spent will save you hours of frustration and $$$ at a professional later.
OR...
Just cover the red with a brown and forget about going back to blond for a while.

Hope things work out for you...good luck!!

I just starred your question because I was going to go to the store today and buy some semi-permanent hair color!! I thought it just washes out in so many washes. I'm sorry that I don't have an answer for you. I do remember that Sun In stuff too. I had a disaster with it :) Good luck!!

I am a natural blond and I used semi permanent red color on my hair once. I tried to wash it like twice a day and it wouldn`t get off. I just had to let it grow and it took a lot of time. I am back to my natural color and learned my lesson. Sorry, this really doesn`t help a bit. Just be patient. Hey, but i met my future husband in the period i had both blonde and red hair, so, good luck.

Semi-permanent hair color washes out in about 2-3 months. I used to have semi-permanent dye for my hair and my mother said that it will never go back to its original color. However, the hair color will fade out over time.
