I have had split ends for over two years now. How can I get rid of them?

The #1 way of course would be to trim them, but you may be able to salvage some of the damaged hair with a hot oil treatment. That is also a good way to prevent them as well.

The only way to get rid of them is to cut them off! Once you cut them off, if you want to prevent them, put oils and moisterizing gels and cremes in your hair so it won't be dry. The only reason why you have split ends are because it's dry. Also, another way to prevent them is to not have really long hair. Get trims every few months or so. If you have really long hair, the nutrients cannot go all the way down to the bottom, causing them to dry up, which causes split ends.

Any product that says it will repair your split ends is lying. It's impossible. The only solution is to cut them off. Get a good amount cut off so it's healthy, then make sure you use moisturizing conditioner. A lot of styling products dry out your hair. Chemical services at the salon, or coloring your hair dry it out worse, and cause split ends.

The best thing to do is to cut them off. Once they've been split, they won't go back and if they go untended, they will only split more. However, some conditioning treatments will control firzziness, which is the main side effect of split ends.

Use good shampoo and conditioner for your hair after you get the split ends cut off. Make sure you stay on top of getting your hair trimmed every 6 weeks or so to prevent it in the future.

First, you should really get your hair trimmed an inch to get rid of the split/dead ends. If split ends are common with your hair, you might want to try Sunsilk shampoo and conditioner. They have a special type to deal with dry hair and split ends.

If you use a brush, start using only a comb to avoid breaking the hair even more. Also make sure that you use shampoo and conditioner to make the hair soft that way it won't be a hassle to comb it. If you have split ends due to to straightening your hair, then avoid that. Also cut your hair at least every two months! Good luck.

i would cut off the ends and use Sun Silk anti split

you have to cut them to get rid of them. Try the split ender product.

Cut them off. They are natural. They happen because of washing your hair, brushing it, and just doing everyday activities.
