One of my close friends met her true love there. She didn't like the idea of on-line dating, but in June of 2005 she went on a date. By November of 2005 she was engaged. My fiance and I attended her wedding this last October. I know many other on-line success stories besides eharmony as well.

I've never tried E-Harmony but I found a very lasting and meaningful relationship on Yahoo Personals. For me, it helped me get to know people very quickly as well as ensure that we had a certain level of compatibility BEFORE having to expend much time or energy into something that would end up going nowhere. I'm also not a "bar person" so I really enjoyed having the opportunity to meet so many great people outside of the traditional single's meeting places.

Hope you have the same luck as me and find that true love!!

I know of 1 person that has found a successful relationship there and I do recommend it. It's a valuable tool because it matches you on things you only find out when it's too late in real life or fail to take the time to communicate otherwise.

I tired to use it about a year and a half ago and I was told that I couldn't be matched - essentially because of religious issues. The site seems to be geared towards Christians.

Their commercials are sort of creepy, but I would guess that it can be an effective tool.

I have been a paying member of eharmony for a year my subscription ran out on christmas day and I will not be renewing. I went out with 2 girls... Actually 1 the one. I got stood up the other time. The one girl was really sweet but i dont think me and her had that much in common. Eharmony always matched me up with teachers and nurses and women who were way out of my league. I showed my photo in the early stages and was closed out several times because of "other". when i didnt show my picture I got closed because of "other". It is a running gag with me and my buddy now everytime someone rejects me I have been "othered". It just wasnt worth the one girl who we went out 3 times.
