I am not sure what is wrong with her. she starts hissing at him every-time she see him. they have been fine for a year and half and now she is doing this. Could she be in heat and still be sniped, if so how long will last. if not what do you think. I want them to get along.

I have a brother and sister set of cats and the only time she hissed at him badly was just after she had been spayed and was in pain. Check her to make sure she's not injured in some way. If she's in pain, she may think he's responsible. If she's not injured or sick, it could just be a struggle for power. You may want to have vet check her to make sure she's not sick. You could try spraying some Felaway. It calms them down.
