Do you know that it's a female for sure? Sometimes female birds can become egg-bound (which can be fatal). See if you can find an exotic animal vet in your area ... sometimes they will give you some info over the phone. Otherwise, zoos and/or vet colleges might give you some help/answers. What type of bird is it?

Other things to know, pay attn to, and take note of ... the more you can tell a vet, the easier to diagnose:
how old is she?

does she have any kind of discharge from her nostrils? if yes, for how long? Sneezing? ... birds do get colds.

how often, and how long does she sit puffed up on the bottom of the cage? Is it just when she's sleeping/resting? My cockatiel's preferred sleeping spot is on a (clean) diaper that I fold up and put at the bottom corner of her cage, and she does sleep puffed up.

is she still eating? drinking? take note of her food/water levels and how much the levels change from morning to night. If she's not eating/drinking, it could be serious.

poop color and consistency?

Also, what do you feed her ... Lafabers and ZuPreem both make complete pelleted foods for birds, the pellets have everything a bird needs ... sometimes there's an adjustment to switching over from seed to pellet. Also, fresh fruits are a nice treat & mine like crackers too.

I was also told by a vet years ago, that birds need to get a certain amount of sun, so weather permitting and once you know she's healthy, when it's warm enough, try to let her get some sun, the vet said near an open window w/ screen is ok, but try to keep her out of drafts. I recall that even 20 minutes a day is good. My birds go out (in cages) daily, weather permitting :-)

She's either too cold or too hot.
They fan when hot and puff up if cold or sleeping. If she's on the bottom of her cage check her perches to make sure they aren't splintered. She may have hurt a toe or her foot and doesn't want to sit on a perch.
If she is eating her own droppings, she might have a nutritional deficiency. (sometimes that's why they are on the bottom of the cage).
Right now it's probably night were you are. Loud noises or a bright light might be upsetting your bird.

No. Probably cold, trying to stay out of any draft at upper portion of the cage. Move her away from windows and doors, and try putting a cover over 3 sides of her cage. Make sure she is warm. Also, she may be very sick. Look at the color of her poop. Black, hard and dry, or very watery are bad. It should be greenish in color and pasty. Consult your vet.

Stop giving the bird beer! If bird becomes stiff and develops a odor then the bird is dead.

Birds don't get pregnant. They lay eggs after copulation.

Besides, has she been with any male birds?
