I do not think they mean the same..independent means that a person does not depend on others...self supporting...Free spirited to me means that a person does not necessarily have the same views as others that they are identified with...a free thinker...but can still be very dependent on others for survival.

A free spirit is usually someone who's lighthearted, impulsive, (maybe a little flaky), but lots of fun. Independence has many different meanings to each person; one could be financially independent; for example, or living by ones self for the first time, etc.

Not really, free spirited to me means that you live in the moment, fly by the seat of your pants. You never really know what you will do from moment to moment. You do what strikes you at that particular time. No rules, no boundries. The possibilities are limitless. Independent just means you do things on your own accord. Take care of things yourself without having to worry about if someone else will take care of something because you know you will. etc etc

Independent means that you are self reliant.

Free spirited means that you are very intuitive and you are willing to try different things.

A person could be very independent, but a habitual person and not free spirited.

God loves us unconditionally, i.e He loves us with none strings linked. He enables us loose will because of the fact love isn't possibly love till we are allowed loose will. The extra we grow to be like Jesus the extra our will will replace to return into line together with his and as a result we can sin much less. we are in a position to decide for to do precise or incorrect otherwise we'd basically be puppets if we've been controlled. because of the fact we are made in Gods photograph (and via photograph I propose our spirit if formed like His because of the fact he's spirit no longer actual), Christians have God residing interior them and he's slowly changing them decrease back to how they have been initially created. as quickly as we've been created initially via God we'd have cherished to do each and every thing that God did till the proverbial snake arrived on the scene.

For me, free spirited means carefree, spontaneity, lively, and brave. Independent means able to take care of oneself, self-sufficient.

A "free spirit" is one who is willing to express themselves.
Independent means not relying on another. The two are not synonyms.
