NO! not at all! --- I am a cancer survivor. There are no risks at all in having intercourse with someone with cancer - Nor is it the least bit contagious ( in case your wondering) - in order to have cancer your body must actually produce it. One interesting thing i heard --- just a little FYI --- When people donate blood - there blood is not checked for cancer --- so if someone who has cancer and doesn't know - donates blood to someone --- it wont at all effect the person who receives the blood. So image if having a whole quart of blood in you from someone who has cancer - will not give you cancer - then for sure intercourse will not.

Are you referring to risks to the person who is undergoing the treatment or to the person who is having intercourse with the cancer patient? Also what type of treatment (Radiation, Chemo, Experimental, Herbal etc...) is the patient undergoing?

Yes, but they aren't any different from the risks involved in having intercourse with someone who doesn't have cancer.

Yes! My husband is undergoing chemotherapy. Thay told him to wear a condom everytime and for us to use a second method so we make sure we don't get pregnant. The chemicals that go into his body will come out in his sperm and enter my body. Not good! While he was on radiation they recommended two forms of birth control just for the matter of sperm being damaged and making a baby.

there are no risks i'm aware of. it might depend on the type of cancer but that is one hell of a long shot itself. you should be fine.

Cancer is not contagious -- however, whether the person has cancer or not, you should still be protected.
