whenever i try to startup limewire it says that the firewall is blocking access to the internet...but i allowed it access on the firewall...i have windows xp....and it used to work before but i dont know why it wont even start up now?....help?

Go to http://www.limewire.com and click on FAQ
Disable your firewall completely

open limewire - click on the connection tab to see if you are connected - if not - click on File - Connect
sometimes the traffic is heavy and some programs don't connect right away
if that doesn't work -
try system restore
click - start - all programs - accessories - system tools - system restore
restore it to a date when your computer worked good
then follow the instructions from there on
it will restart your computer
once it's restarted - click the OK button
then open limewire and see if it connects

limewire is garbage anyway and gives you all sorts of problems and viruses, especially with a disabled firewall. if you're going to get some free tunes, i suggest you download Morpheus.
