If you like this boy and you think he likes you, the only thing you can do is talk to him and find out dear. Stop being shy and just talk to him ( he's not going to bite). Thats the only way you'll know for sure and don't ask your friends to ask him either.. you do the talking.
Do be aware that in life sometimes people are rejected (he may not like you) if that's the case don't think the world has come to an end hun, it hasn't there are other guys out there.

you don't need a man right now, but if he sounds a good catch, work your magic. talk to him, but take things slow. find out what he's involved in so maybe you could show your support at a game, a meet, or a performance, depending on what he's involved in. it's OK to have some things in common, but it's good to have different interests too. that's what makes relationships so interesting. don't look at it so much as "needing" a man. look at it as "willing," "wanting" to find a man. that will make you seem less desperate. good luck.
