I tunes gift cards?

How do I use my i-tunes gift card without giving a credit card number? I don't even have a credit card.

at the itunes store home page click on "redeem" (top right hand corner)...then enter in code from gift card...no cradit card needed

theres directions on it scratch off the code and type that in
but honestly
i have no clue
