It is because Christians also read and follows "The New Testament" which states as follows:

Matthew 15:17 Do not ye yet understand, that whatsoever entereth in at the mouth goeth into the belly, and is cast out into the draught?

18 But those things which proceed out of the mouth come forth from the heart; and they defile the man.

19 For out of the heart proceed evil thoughts, murders, adulteries, fornications, thefts, false witness, blasphemies:

I hope that this was a serious question and that you find your answer -- which a few users have already given.

The old testament is based on law, which was replaced with grace.

But I do recall a new testament passage that says that you should respect others at your table by honoring their conviction. I'm sure if you are interested you can do some research on the topic.

By The Way, there are many many "laws" in the Old Testament that no longer apply to Christians, especially purification laws such as menstruation, midnight emissions (um.. wet dreams), etc.

The Old Testament Laws were written for the Jewish Nation. The New Law took effect after the ascension of Christ. The apostles baptized over 3,000 at Pentecost in Acts 2:38. This began Christ's Church on Earth. From that time the New TEstament was the Law of GOD ALMIGHTY. The Old TEstament is now "for our learning". Have a great week.

The Old Testament says that women must not sleep in the house during their time of the month. That usually meant they had to sleep with the cow. Why do Christians allow their women in the house during their "unclean" time, when the Old Testament was quite clear about it?

Siiiiiiiiiiiiiiigh.
Because, in the New Testament, it is said very clearly that all foods were made clean. Christians follow the laws of the New Testament, not the Old.

Because we are no longer under the Mosaic Law Covenant. Jesus came to fulfill the Law. Notice what 1 Timothy 4:4-5 tells us:
"For every creature of God is good, and nothing to be refused, if it be received with thanksgiving, for it is sanctified by the word of God and prayer."

That was done away with in the New Testament.

Acts 10:12-16 (KJ21, 21st Century King James Version)
12wherein were all kinds of fourfooted beasts of the earth, and wild beasts and creeping things and fowls of the air. 13And there came a voice to him,
"Rise, Peter; kill and eat."
14But Peter said, "Not so, Lord, for I have never eaten anything that is common or unclean." 15And the voice spoke unto him again the second time,
"What God hath cleansed, that call not thou common."
16This was done thrice, and the vessel was received up again into heaven.
