Yes, it's completely normal. I'm fifteen now, and that's hen I started, if not a little later. Personally, I got my first period at eleven, and a lot of girls my age got them even earlier. One of my best friends, who is a little tall for her age, but of normal weight, got her period at ten, and started "developing" at age nine. I also was, ad still am of average height and weight.

If you are really worried, call your pediatrician, or you could even ask your OB/GYN.

The pictures are a bit racy, but I highly doubt it's nothing you don't see when getting dressed. There should be information in the article about it, and if not, google it.

I am glad that you added that she is normal height and weight! Because that would have been my first thought. A couple of other factors.....

1. Kids are maturing earlier nowdays. Some say it is because of the growth hormones in meats and vegetables. But, they are. We matured quicker than our parents did. i remember getting my first bra, at age 10/11. That was over 20 years ago.

2. This is going to sound horrible. I sincerely dont wish this upon my worst enemy, and only you and her can know the deep down truth. But, just so that you are aware, just in case you dont know, or hadnt considered it. Children that have been sexually molested, tend to mature quicker. I dont know why, or anything like that. I dont know how close the two of you are, and I am not making any assumptions. I just want you to know that it is a fact. And, dont panic, because I am not doubting that she is just on time. But, call her doctor, tell them. If they have any reason for concern, it is just something to keep in the back of your mind.

Sorry, if I freaked you out. It was not my intention!! My thoughts are with you at this time!

It absolutely it starting earlier and earlier now. At least HALF of the girls in my daughter's class have stuff up there now! Some are due to being overweight, etc but since you said your daughter doesn't have a weight problem it is probably just natural life now!

My daughter has nothing up there but she wanted a bra anyways :P hahahaha

Go on the trip and be super positive about it. Don't worry - by 10 a lot more of them will have stuff up there too!!!!

Kids are developing earlier and earlier.

Statistically, likely has to do with one or some of these factors: rising levels of obesity, rising levels of artificial estrogens in the environment, the deliberate introduction of hormones into the food supply, and chronically high stress levels even in young children.

Your daughter is probably in good company; I'm sure there are lots of other girls in her situation. But onset of puberty is not good at such a young age. It may prevent her from reaching her full stature, and it will expose her to a lot of unwanted attention before she has the cognitive and emotional skills to deal with it.

Talk to her pediatrician. In extreme cases, drugs can be given to delay the onset of early puberty. And if nothing else, you'll want her to talk to a doctor (and you'll want to talk to a doctor) about the challenges she'll face.

If your child is overweight that can cause puberty to start earlier than usual. Nine is a little early, but it varies so much from child to child. I have 3 girls, my youngest is 10 and hasn't started yet. My older two both started between 11-12. If she is embarrassed by the early appearance you might try getting her undershirts to minimize the obviousness of them if she's not too developed yet.Good luck.

there is no one hundred% way of understanding she would have complete grown massive breast via 10 or in basic terms stay as buds till finally later. in basic terms skill she is beginning puberty so which you, in case you haven't any longer already, start up having the discusiion approximately her physique and what's going to happen. I even have popular females to get their first era as youthful as 8 or 9 so if she has breast sessions won't be to a great way in the back of

My poor daughter started developing in FIRST GRADE (yeah...thanks to my genetics!) and she was wearing a sports bra so that she could still be a LITTLE kid and not feel funny about it...so she was almost 6 when she started wearing one...it all depends on the genes~ She's now almost 17 and has STOPPED developing...for now!

Don't worry ... nine is about the right age for this (I started my period at age 10). I have a 7 year old daughter and I keep thinking that this is coming up in a few years. You probably should have the talk with her about her period if you haven't already.

This is normal. I think kids are developing earlier than we did. My daughter got her first period when she was 11. She starting developing breast around 9 or 10.
