WOW, I have a girlfriend this has happened to (who knows, she might be engaged now though!)- he kept talking about how he wants to marry her and even came up with a date that he wants to get married, but as of Friday, he still hadn't proposed. Your boyfriend will do it in his own time. He may be waiting until he has enough $ for a ring. He might be waiting for a custom ring to be made. There are probably factors he is awaiting- maybe Valentine's day? Maybe New Years eve? Just be patient. If you want to marry him, be patient. It will happen when he is ready.

Since you have already talked about it you should know that he will say it forever because he knows it is what you want to hear. my suggestion is to move on with your life. he thinks that you will always be there and after 2 years you have yet to prove him wrong-move on with your life. if he is the man for you he will come through with a proposal; if he is not he wont and you will be free to find the man for you

i know this sounds harsh but it is reality. please dont do this if you are going to call him back because it takes away from your credibility. start spending time with your friends and stop being so available to spend time with him. after all you are not married and your life doesnt revolve around him.

God Bless!

It sounds like he is feeling out the situation prior to proposing. He probably wants to be sure that before he shells out for a nice ring that you will say yes. He might need some reassurance.

The next time he says he wants to marry you, you could say, "It's fine that you want to marry me. If you want to marry me, then I want an engagement ring." If you don't get a ring in 6 months (plenty of time to save money and plan) then consider moving on.

Don't worry about it...maybe he's saving up for the ring to propose with....or he's just finding just the right words to say.....or maybe he's just nervous!

That means he doesn't want to marry you (key words) *RIGHT NOW.* It's not time to sound the alarms quite yet, my friend.

You know him better than we do. Is he a player or is not the right time. You should know the answer.

You shouldn't sleep with him until you have a ring and a date.
