I don't think that there is anyway to take advantage of being bipolar. There are some people who enjoy faking mental illness. I think it's ridiculous!! Mental Illness can hold a person back from full filling their dreams. Why on earth would someone want to do that?

There are so many things that I dream of doing with my life and cant because of the depression, anxiety, etc. that comes with BP. Therefore, I can't take advantage of anything.

The up side is that I understand people who are dealing with depression. Whenever family, friends or even strangers feel down, they can always count on me to listen and offer support.

Support groups are also a way to give back and help others.

I take what I can get for my situation, meaning I lost my job, I am not allowed to get another as my doctor has put a stop to that, so I am on government benefits.

If think people will take any help they can, others may see it as taking advantage, but they have no idea of the setbacks that take place.

I feel like i am taking advantage of my situation, but that is mainly because i am proud of how far i have come. But i submitted to taking the benefits after weighing up the fact that I would be homeless too (not just unemployed).

Nut if you are talking using it for a mood, like they were aggro and rude, and came back to say sorry and explained that it was because of the bipolar. Well i have met someone who does that all the time.

But I won't and sometimes you really just need to get to understand your moods. But i believe i should always be responsible for my actions whether i was in control or not.

there's no benefit to having this disease. It reasons severe soreness and suffering, and destroys relationships. some human beings declare there's a link between creativity and bipolar disease, yet this has no longer been shown (there's no reason to fund examine for this whilst it won't help all and sundry). approximately 20% of persons with this disease finally end up killing themselves with the aid of fact they go through lots. family members of persons with bipolar could benefit an benefit, even nonetheless - somebody who has in basic terms hypomanias (gentle mania) and few or no depressions can pass very some distance in existence - be very optimistic and artwork difficult. however the guy who unquestionably has bipolar - this is terrible. all and sundry who says this is advantageous in all opportunities are high probably the fortunate ones who in basic terms each and every had one breakdown of their existence, or they are nonetheless youngsters or early 20's and have not have been given finished blown bipolar yet, imo. playstation this is actual that for the time of mania a individual FEELS lots greater inventive - I ought to assert that for me, the strategies are bursting forth with wonderful intensity, and that i'm an extremely inventive individual, yet many non-bipolar everybody is intensely inventive too - no link statistically shown. in simple terms anecdotal evidence, it extremely is exceptionally lots valueless to instruct a factor.

Why do people pick on people who suffers from bipolar? It is an illness, no one would take advantage of a having a disease that effects their brain. Do people with Cancer, Glaucoma, Diabetes, Heart Disease, Strokes take advantage of their illness? People have no idea of what those poor people who are suffering from an illness effecting their brain goes through. They're clueless! (The people judging them are the ones who's clueless!) They probably couldn't handle one day in those people's shoes!
