It is in linkage disequilibrium with HLA-A1 and HLA-B8.

(English to English translation)

linkage = connection
disequilibrium = "not equal"

So whatever the sentence is talking about, "It" is not equal in connection with HLA-A1 and HLA-B8.

It doesn't make much sense to me either because this is technical language and it's taken out of context. I hope this is helpful.

No, googling it helps a bit, but break it down...

Linkage disequilibrium (LD) is a term used in the study of population genetics
HLA is Human Leukocyte Antigen...

Put those together and you get alot of stuff over my head! But it looks like the study of certain diseases in an specific area....what in the world are you researching? heheh

HAHAHAH English is my first language, and i dont know what that means either.... Like its one of those things that nobody would understand unless you had more information. HlA-A1 are just letters and numbers. I agree with whoever before me in that it looks like it has somthing to do with computers.

disequilibrium - everybody could guess the meaning but it is not English. Whoever has written the sentence surely is not native eng. speaker. Neither am I.

Was it help-full?
