I am so sorry your cat died. When I turn on my dryer, I check and recheck it before I close the door because I'm terrified of having happen what happened to you. People may be hard on you and call you names, but it's an honest mistake. It's one of those things that you just don't think about until it happens. We once shut our cat in the fridge (we heard meowing and let him out before anything happened, but still). The cat jumped in the fridge when no one was paying any attention, and got shut in.
Take your time, feel like an @ss for as long as you need to, then learn to BE CAREFUL. Sometimes you have to watch out for your cat like you have to watch out for a little kid. They get into anything and everything.

First of all, don't clean it yourself. Have someone, anyone else do it. Then, yes, it will still be just as hard to accept that your cat is gone even if you do get rid of the dryer. Just give it a little time, and move on. Believe me I know how you feel. I wish i could do more than this but i can't. anyway, good luck.
try a new cat?only when you are ready though

1) Bury the cat.
2) Clean the dryer with whatever non-flammable cleaner of your choice.
3) Run the dryer several times with some old rags and an abundance of fabric softener sheets of your choice.
4) If you have any other cats or get another one, look inside the dryer before you put clothes in it or start it up. Cats are notorious for hiding inside of dryers. Mine did that several times, but never got dryed.
5) If your dryer thumps when it starts up, open it and remove the cat.

I'm so sorry to hear about your cat. I'd get a new dryer... and its good that your husband threw out all the clothes. Have a funeral for the poor kitty, I'm so sorry.

Yes you can keep using the drying, no need to buy another one lol. Clean it as best you can with either windex, or some kind of all purpose cleaner. Make sure it isn't flammable. Run the dryer empty for a long time every day for a couple weeks. After that, it should be ok.

Aww. OMG that is sooo sad. I would cry forver if any pf my kittie died. I dont know what you should do either. BTW i'm not some silly old cat lady who lives with like a trillion cats. I'm a thirteen-year-old girl who simply loves her "two" kitty cats. Just wanted to say that. Oh, im so sorry your kitty died.
