My daughter has a decease that leaves her severely disabled, although her mind is fine. She will have a shorter than normal life span. 2 years ago, when she had just turned 21, I gave her a beautiful diamond ring, as I believe every woman should have one that comes from love, and we love her very much. It was a great memory watching her face light up when she opened that gift.

A Christmas gift for a former boyfriend. A globe made of various gems & stones. Beautiful! The basic part of the globe was Mother of Pearl. The countries were other various gems.

He knew the value of the gift IF it were real gems. They were. I never told him they were or weren't. I suppose I should have - BUT, now .... I'm glad he didn't know & he may have let it go for a song since it was from an "old girlfriend". Mean? Perhaps. But it would serve him right!
