My parents are away for the month visiting some relatives...im with my sister right now...she doesnt believe me about my hip? I AM GOING TO VISIT A TEACHER I HAD A FEW YEARS AGO NEXT WEEK. HE USED TO BE A INJURY SPECIALIST BUT DECIDED TO GO INTO TEACHING. SHOULD I ASK HIM ABOUT IT? MAYBE HE CAN TAKE A LOOK AT IT QUICKLY??? SINCE MY SISTER WONT TAKE ME TO A DOCTOR? (HE DIDNT LOSE HIS LICENSE. JUST DECIDED TO STOP BEING A DOCTOR SO HE COULD TEACH?)

yes, I would ask him about it. You could also ask the school nurse about it. If one of them thought you should see a doctor maybe they could talk your sister into taking you. In the meantime I would rest it as much as possible....like don't run and jump.

How long has the pain been going on? Were you doing anything that might have strained a muscle in that area or possibly pushed a bone out of place?

If it hasn't been going on long, then I'd said give it a day or so to figure out if it is still going to be hurting. If you were doing some kind of activity that might have caused a strained muscle, then there really isn't much to do about it but maybe put ice on it for about 20 minutes and then off for 20 minutes and then on, off, 20 minutes each time. If it might be a dislocation of a bone, or possibly a break, you will need to have a doctor look at it.

Does your school have a nurse you might be able to ask about it?

If you can, you need to call your parents and tell them what is going on. Do you have an aunt/uncle/grandparents that you can talk to? I would also talk to the teacher. Also try the school nurse. She maybe have some influence. The more people you tell the better. I am not saying cause a scene but someone will question as to why your sister is not taking you to the doctor.

Call your parents and tell them what's wrong. They could order your sister to take you to the doctor.

Good luck!

Ya, you need to convince your sister, or somebody to take you to a doctor.
