There are no side effects to masturbation. He won't go blind, he won't run out of sperm (the male body is constantly producing it), he might get a friction rash if he does nothing else, but that's it.

There are no side effects, this is normal behavior. If he does it in public or in front of people then just tell him that is something to be done in private. Get some parenting books and educate your self on speaking to your child about these things. Obviously you have al ot to learn. No damage can be done, it won't hurt him. It is normal behavior. www.talksexwithsue.com has some great information on the subject. He will not get pimples. He will not have loss of sperm unless he is old enough to have sperm in his ejaculate and if so the body produces plenty of sperm nothing to worry about.

There are no side effects it will not hurt him. It is sad that you don't know this and your a parent. Educate yourself, get some books about talking to your son about his body and the changes it will go through. Make sure you know your facts before you give him any information as it's obvious you don't have the info straight yourself. Point out to him that it's okay but it's something to be done in private.

There are no side effects. Masturbation is a normal thing and not to be stressed over. As long as he's doing it in private, ignore it. If he's not ,tell him that is something that isn't polite around other people and to only do it in his bedroom.

I know to many people there are huge taboos about self-gratification, but really it's totally normal, most everyone does it and making a big deal about it won't stop him, it'll just cause guilt issues.

There were myths decades ago about about it causing blindness, and hairy palms and I don't know what all else, but none of that is true. Talk to his Doctor if you're really concerned, but they will tell you the same as I have.

There are no sideaffects. This is a child's way of discovering things. It is not a "dirty" thing. Society considers this a very taboo subject and I do not see why. There is nothing to accuse of. Unless you were ever going to let your son into the real world, then there is no reason to reprimand him, unless he is doing it publicly or somewhere other than a private place. He will not go blind, get any type of disease, or any other myths. Remember; he has some control over his body.

It is perfectly normal. How old is he? my oldest son found himself at a very young age.At first I was worried he might have been molested by someone but I asked him lots of questions and spoke w/ his Pediatrician and everything checked out okay. If you talk to him about it, notice I didn't use the word confront. You should not make it seem like a bad thing because it isn't. You don't want him to become self conscious about doing it. The hardest thing for me was not to get upset about it when I would find him in the living room going at it like it was okay and it is okay, just in his room or where no one else sees him doing it.

If you are talking about masturbation, the side effects are basically limited to skin irritations from the motions he uses. There really isn't anything to "accuse" him of, depending on his age, just have the talk with him, making sure you tell him that it's normal and to make sure he washes his hands FIRST. In extreme cases, he could get staph or a yeast infection, but if he's washing his hands first, or is in the shower, he most likely won't have any ill effects.

There are no side effects related to masterbation , if he plays with himself too rough there might be chafing, that is about it. However it is really IMPORTANT that you do NOT make him feel like this is a dirty thing to do or imorral. You don't want your son to reach adulthood resenting you because he was made to feel dirty , feel inferior around other men or have a less than normal relationship with a female than he deserves. It is a part of learning about sexuality.

I am unsure if you are speaking of masturbation. If you are, it all depends on the age of your child. There are several stages of a child's life that may include "wondering" and "discovering".

A small child, specifically toddler age, starts "discovering" themself and do typically touch their private parts. This is something that you will have to teach your child as a no-no. This is a normal part of a child's development.

A boy going through puberty is certainly going to be dealing with hormones that are out of control and unfamiliar feelings. A boy going through puberty may masturbate as well. This is normal. There aren't any known side effects of masturbation besides physiological feelings like feelings of guilt.

If you feel your child's masturbation is becoming unhealthy then contact their pediatrician. It may be an embarrassment to your child so you may want to speak privately at first.

My mom has done daycare since i was a little girl, and you will learn, even at a very very young age, a child will go through the whole "sexual" stage. They could show signs about saying dirty things that you wouldnt expect them to say, or maybe touching someones private parts, including the butt, or even their own. Some grow out of it .. for a little white .. and some dont. Its very normal, just make sure if you notice it, make sure it doesn't go to far so he isnt gettin hisself into trouble.
