they might not ever get along.. just as you can't force two people to get along. try introducing them slowly over some time and outside of either of their territories.

If they don't live together, they probably won't ever get along. Cats don't adapt as well to change as humans do, and the visiting cat is not in her home territory. The resident cat is defending her territory and therefore will be hostile to most other cats and animals unless they are introduced and kept together right. Veterinarians and other animal experts will have the best advice as to how to accomplish your goals.

you need to bring your grandma's cat over more often.... once they have spent alot of time together they will tolerate each other, how old are they? my cat is 11 years old i just brought in a new cat she is 2 years old they fought from the begining... but now about 9 months later play together alot.....but still have temper tantrums.

you can ask your grandma to be nicer to the cat, alot of older people do not like cats or are just so senile that they do not realize it when they are being mean to animals you can offer the cat treats when it is around your grandma and maybe it will leave her alone and allow them to ignore each other, try playing some oldies or classical music this tends to calm old ladies down and will also help grandma from fighting with the cat

Cats work things out in their own time. our three cats use to fight especially the older, one now they all sleep in a corner cuddled up to each other.
