Its unfortnuate, bu true. For in the Bible, it says we will be persecuted for our faith
You've can't just take one Christian and use them as basis for all Christians. I know there are some not-so-nice ones out there, but look around, there are plenty of friendly ones ready to welcome you into the body of believers of Christ

Christians lie when they say they are being persecuted like the bible says they would. They are not being persecuted. The leaders of the Christian Coalition are not being hung on crosses (Philippians 2:8). The leaders of the Family Research Council are not being stoned to death (Acts 7:59). The leaders of Focus on the Family are not being thrown to the lions (Daniel 6:16).

All they have to worry about is someone calling them bad names and denying them their request for favoritism.

The pushy Christian sees a child playing in heavy traffic. The Christian knows the child is in danger but the mother does not understand the danger and lets the child play. The mother gets mad at the pushy Christian for trying to save her child.
The pushy Christian sees the wrath of God coming to judge the world. Many are called but few are chosen. Sadly there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth. Many don't see the danger.

The Scripture you referred to means that all believers will be persecuted for believing in the one true God.
It can be mild, like in this country, on this site, for example. Or it can be the other extreme, like being beheaded for your faith, as it is in some Muslim dominant countries.

I don't know. Can you be a Christian without believing "non-believers" are wrong? There's not much you can say to those Christians who will never accept that they COULD BE wrong.

"...there are plenty of friendly ones ready to welcome you into the body of believers of Christ"

*But* are they willing to accept me as I am, even if I am *NOT* willing to be welcomed into the body of believers?

Are they willing to accept that I can live the way I do and have a successful, happy life without belief in god?

We have to leave it up to the people to decide whether they want to believe or not. If they don't then it is up o their free will. Like God gave us the free will to believe in him.

I totally agree. I think people think we are pushy but we are just trying to lead them to God and they don't like that. They are unsure of themselves. Personally, I couldn't make it without god. He is my best friend

Of course the bible says that you will be persecuted for believing in it. Even the writers of the bible knew how ludicrous it all sounds.
