If you plugged them into an outside recepticle chances are it is protected with a GFCI. GFCI's trip when anything plugged into them shorts to ground with more than 5mA of current. (5/1000th of an amp)

Because it rained the lights may have shorted to ground with enough current to trip the GFCI and not blow a fuse which is rated much higher (half an amp)

THe GFCI is reset by pressing a reset button on the recepticle.
First unplug the Xmas lights then reset the GFCI. Before plugging in the Xmas light try plugging in something else like a drop light to verify you have power and have reset the GFCI.

Then plug in the Xmas lights. If the Xmas lights don't work verify the GFCI is still reset and has not tripped again. If it tripped again you definately have an issue with water shorting the lights.

see above suggestions. wait 48 hours to see if they dry and that helps. also note that sometimes, between two light bulbs, there's the wire segment that connects them, and then a second long wire. those are the cheap kinds where if any one light burns out, they all die. (don't get these!!!) there's also the kinds of lights where you'll see more wires than that; those are good because if just one bulb burns out, the rest still work.

Check the jumper, it might have shorted.
check the bulb, one of them might have blew out causing all the other one to die too.
take it down and buy new one. They should be cheap this time of year.
Good luck and be wary of electrocution.(unless you're chanh, then dance in the rain and play with the light_ >:D

Check the receptacle, if it is GFI it may of tripped, just press the little button and reset it. check your fuses, or you can plug in a lamp to test the outside receptacle.
