Try using your hairdryer to sooth an ear ache. The warm (not hot) air when blown in your ear will relieve some of the pain. You could also use a hot water bottle as a pillow and place on the ear that's sore.
Also, ear aches are worse at night because you're lying down. Try propping your head up at night with lots or pillows. This always help me!
Good luck and I hope your feeling better soon! :)

my thighs hurt, I went to the park on my bike because i was feeling anxious. I was just listening to my mp3s and riding laps. I noticed it was getting darker, and this lady asks me "have you been counting laps?" I had not. She informed me I had gone 20 In the hour that she was there with her kids. that is ten miles. I was there an hour, before she got there, so I can only assume I went 20 Miles. It didn't hurt untill I got off the bike. But it is cool that I can go that far without dying. I didn't think I could.

Ouch, sounds painful. Are you on any other medications? Some medications can give you ear and jaw pain. If you are taking anything look at the side effects. I wouldn't use outdated medications, and be careful with any medications if you are nursing. Are your'e teeth healthy? There are many reasons for ear/jaw pain, make an appointment with an ENT as soon as possible. Good luck and hope you feel better soon.

You might try a decongestant like sudafed - sometimes the pain is from blockage that occurs from inflammed tissues, and a decongestant can sometimes open up the blockage. An ear infection is not a medical emergency, but don't wait more than a day to see the doctor - it's not worth risking hearing loss by waiting too long.

Since you are not sure if it is an infection or not don't use the drops. Try laying on a warm heating pad for while to see if this helps. You can also use tea tree oil on a cotton ball.

if u have pain in your ear, most likely it is an infection. u would definitely need antibiotics. maybe u can call your dr. and tell him about it. most likely if this is a common problem for u he would just call in a prescription for u, which would result in no hospital visits. i know ear infections are extremely painful.
