I dyed my hair black, close to my natural hair color earlier this year, like January. It's a tad bit lighter than it was and I cant tell how far my roots are at beacuase it's too close to the same color. Im wanting to put it back to burgandy like I had in Highschool. Is there anyway to lighten my hair WITHOUT bleaching it? I was going to do a color stripping at a salon, but from what I understand thats worse than bleaching your hair. Can anyone give me some suggestions?

Loreal has a color called Chocolate Cherry which is a burgandy color.

Clairol has a shade called bodacious burgandy (purchace at sally beauty salon) you may need a hairdresser card for that one so if you know any hair dressers maybe they can purchace it for you.

You're right about the stripping process makes the hair feel like half cooked spaghetti, Garnier have a Burgundy that should work but it will only be noticeable in sunlight and inside lighting. If you are wanting a more vibrant Burgundy you are going to have to lighten it first as far as I know this may be the only way.

try "sun in", it is sorta of a bleach, but you spray it on, and use the sun or a hair dryer.
