In our branch - worldwide, members of the congregation are encouraged to attend an annual meeting. At that point, the budget is put out for anyone to see. Even the professionals salary are listed - all of them, something no business allows. You can move to change the # set aside for snowshoveling if you wish.
In addition, monthy board/council meetings are held where the financial expenses are noted. Those are available upon request from the church office.
Many churches post in the bulletin or in some public place how the offerings are going. If not, they are a phone call away.
The voting is not done weekly because of contractual obligations such as mortgages, utilities, salaries and the like.
There is one tax limitation in the US - you cannot give to a specific item and have that amount be tax deductible. If I give 24 dollars for a new bulletin board, that is then not listed in the annual summary of giving I give.
I don't think you are saying as it is. You may be expressing some personal frustration, but I doubt you have politely sought the answers.

Have you ever thought of going into the church office and asking the church treasurer to look at the books.
Even moreso, are you a member of the church?
You really don't deserve to see a financial statement from a church unless you are a supporting member.

Written financial statements are not generally just made available for open distribution. Here in the States, churches must give you a finacial statement of YOUR donations each year.

Look for bulletin announcements for the Church Board's business meeting and check to see if they are open meetings.
(Has the church been complaining because you won't show them your financial records on what you spend your money on?
Financial statements are confidential. Respect that, and seek an appointment with the Treasurer.

I attend a Baptist church that handles all monies out in the open. Our pastor is a good steward of the money we give to Christ for the furtherance of His kingdom on earth. This is part of our churches constitution. By having the finances in the open, any financial shinanagins would be caught quickly.

At the same time, those people who have problems tithing may need to be educated about what tithing is for, the fact that Pastoral staff need to be paid and buildings / electricity, etc.. aren't free. From my experience, 80% or more of Christians don't understand the importance of this part of worship.

When I went to the Pentecostal Holiness church there was a monthly paper with money taken in and expenses for all to see. Some churches make you be a member to see the books. If you go to a church and you are a member and they will not let you know these things, I would find another church.

Every Church I've ever been to gives each member a quarterly report of where their money goes and a yearly report of how much they have personally given.

god doesn't need any money and you should probably take it up with your church leader. put him or her on front street or simply keep your money in your savings account and stop complaining.

there are many unfortunate people on this planet, if you just can't decide which snake handler to lavish with all of your hard earned money, give to charity.

Our pastor distributes to us a yearly account of all monies taken in, all monies spent, and a detailed account of where every penny was spent, and what monies remain.
