What I mean is taking measurements on a yearly basis in locations all over the world in many places in every country and analyzed along with every single study that has takin place and all measurements that have been takin so far, to see the complete picture, as well as it can be known, about global warming and how to fix it in the manner that truly is the best that can be come up with, and then actually doing so? Is this the only way this problem is going to get fixed?

If all this stuff is going on, shouldn't the public be informed about it in a way they can understand, and political will built to make progress on solving the problems?

There are many such studies going on. But the problem is way more complicated that you can know. Some things are easy to measure. Carbon dioxide in the air is easily measured, both today and in the distant past, in air bubbles trapped id deep ice layers in old glaciers. Measuring temperature is also easy. But measuring the world's temperature is not, because it does not have one temperature. It has hot deserts, cold mountain peaks, hot summers, cold winters, and so on. Even though we have millions of temperature readings, you can't just average them all to get the world's temperature. It just isn't that simple. But, as I said, lots of people are working on it.

There is - you need to look at what the British are doing. Their Meteorological Office has detailed records dating back hundreds of years taken from all over the world and takes several million new readings every day all of which is chewed up and spat out by one of the world's mot powerful computers. Their work is done in conjunction with many of leading Universities and academics from around the world and many detailed reports have been published.

The Met Office recently published the Stern Report - the most comprehensive study of global warming undertaken so far.
