A prime red is hard to beat for depth of color, but I have always loved the colors on a good prime gray fox.

I think that just about any pelt if in prime is very pretty. I am partial to black or silver fox though if I have to choose a particular color.

One you shot/trapped and skinned and treated yourself. Otherwise it deserves to stay on the fox. I say as long as you eat it (or it was going to eat you) then the killing is justified.
Partial to silver/black pelts actually.
Although I'd say Arctic Fox is most appealing.

The one that gets away and graces the land with his or her natural beauty--intact and alive.

Sorry, I can't get into the mindset of anyone who wants to take an animal's life as sport.
