As a christian i can confidently tell you that there is no single contradiction in the entire bible, so first of all do not confuse your mind by having the idea that there is any contradiction in the bible.
I will suggest that you stay focus when reading and analyzing the accounts illustrated by the bible, be open minded, ask question from those that have adequate knowledge of the book and lastly you have to be honest with yourself in comparing the bible sayings and prediction to what is happening in the world today.

Shall I start at the beginning? Genesis 1:1-2:4a vs. Genesis 2:4b and following. The order of creation is given in two conflicting accounts:
The fist version gives it in the familiar formula of six days, but states that plants came about on the third day (Genesis 9:11, 13), then on the sixth day, he creates the animals, then needs man "to have dominion over the fish of the sea...over the cattle", etc. (Genesis 1:24-25).
All of this conflicts with the second version which states, "when no plant of the field was yet in the earth and no herb of the field had yet sprung up -- for the Lord God had not caused it to rain upon the earth, and there was no one to till the ground." (Genesis 2:5), then God makes man, and then "God planted a garden" (Genesis 2:7-8).
The first version also implies that God made several people ("male and female he created them" - Gen. 1:27) vs. the Adam and Eve of the second version.
Matthew 1:2-16 is the geneology of Jesus and Luke 3:23-38 is also the geneology of Jesus; they do not agree.
Matthew list Jacob as Joseph's father, and Luke list Heli as Joseph's father, both of which trace Jesus through Joseph ("Jacob, the father of Joseph the husband of Mary, of whom Jesus was born." - Matt 1:16; "He was the son (as was thought) of Joseph son of Heli..." - Luke 3:23).

I answer this question of yours is not because I believe that there is contradiction , I believe there is none. The one who says that there is contradiction have not enough knowledge and misinterpreted the Bible verses.Peter said in
2Pe 3:16 "As also in all his epistles, speaking in them of these things; in which are some things hard to be understood, which they that are unlearned and unstable wrest, as they do also the other scriptures, unto their own destruction".
So other people think it is contradict but it is not The bible is a collection of inspired books where the revelation of God, His words and His mysteries are written. Now, ,all the words of God in the bible are in harmony with each other. let us prove that in the book of proverbs 8:8-9 " All the words of my mouth are in righteousness; there is nothing froward or perverse in them. They are all plain to him that understandeth, and right to them that find knowledge." That's the declaration of the wisdom of God. it is written that the word of God will not contradict another word of God. It will not and cannot.

There are many seeming contradictions but these supposed contradictions are created by a finite mind of man attempting to understand an infinite and eternal being. Much of what is in the Bible is a matter of faith and not made for us to fully understand right now. Understand?

people who try to get tricky and try to put down the bible will say there are contradictions, but you have to understand that that is a normal thing because several people (who understood situations differently) wrote diffrent parts of the bible, and the bible was published a long time after the specific occurrances. It's only natural that people think and determine things differently. You see that in the forums, chatrooms, blogs, everyone has a different take on things.

It is also said the New Testament and the Old Testament are contradictory in the way "God" handles things and tells you to handle things.

You can look up the passage - the prophet states God will give Tyre to Nebuchadnezzar. Doesn't happen so he gets Eg. instead.. Very minor historical datum, but an important one because it reminds us we believe in God, not a book - which is the meaning of Bible.
The Bible holds the Word of God as the manger held the Christ - Luther

In the book of Genesis, it says God created man and woman in his own image, male and female he created them.
A few paragraphs later, it says that God made man first and then made woman from man's rib.
