Why do religious people keep asking us questions? Are you retarded the site is called Answers kind of redundant to be asking why anyone is on a site called answers. You would think it would be common sense.

Several responders have already said this, but one more might just help send the message home. Spirituality is not dependent on religion. Did you get that? Would you like it in a suppository? I am sorry God didn't CREATE a brain for some people that can handle that logic. Even if they created a category for non-believers the christians would swarm to it like flies to poo. Besides, doesn't it keep you on your toes?

They are here to ask questions. This is the place to ask them when your question is about religion and spirituality.
Also, please note that spirituality does NOT have to have anything to do with religion. The two can be together or completely separate.
You do not need to have a religion to be spiritual.
Also, some religious questions can have a non-religious answer.

Like it or not, atheism and agnosticism are sects of spirituality.
Unfortunately, a lot of religious fundamentalists seem to read the term "religion and spirituality" and interpret it as "The All Christians Club" or whatever.

see the question I even have published :"atheism " would not unavoidably mean "no longer religious". in accordance to the oxford dictionary :atheism=non perception in God considering maximum folk of the English speaking international are christians, they anticipate that if u don't think in God, u don't have a faith. that's no longer authentic.Buddhists don't think in God yet they do have a faith. technically speaking although,Buddhism could be a philosophy. yet in accordance to utilization that's a faith.e.g.if u ask a Buddhist what faith he's from hed say "i'm a Buddhist" besides,to decrease a protracted tale short, people who're no longer religious could be spoke of as "people who're no longer religious" by using fact u can no longer anticipate that someone who would not have faith in God,would not have a faith.that's a subject-loose false impression

Maybe they are drawn to this category because, whether they know it or not, they have a spiritual need, and maybe some will be touched by an answer or a way of thinking that had never dawned on them before.

Most of us are here to point out the MANY holes in your beliefs.
Especially when you say that you have "proof" of the existence of your magic sky-pixie.
You don't of course, but when you say you do, the gloves come off.
Besides I've received many emails from people asking for help to leave their religion. That's why I'm here.
The more people leave religion, the better off the world will be.

Just because some of do not follow Christianity does not mean we are not spiritual. Why is it that you seem to think that Religion and Spirituality is limited only to the devout?

There is no `believers only` sign. It's a discussion about religion and anyone is entitled to participate.
Most atheists are respectful in their posting, whereas this question is highly disrespectful and says far too much about your IQ and level of tolerance for those who don't share your beliefs.

Spirituality need not be religious; thus they have every rightful claim to be here.
