I don't believe that it is right. I don't want my husband out sleeping with 10 other women. Marriage is a wonderful thing. It should be shared by one woman and one man.

I think the practice of polygamy (or polygyny) is to be limited to when God commands it, and not for the purpose of fulfilling a man's physical desires. In the case of Mormon polygamy, that was a temporary period that covered approximately 30 years before the Civil War and about 25 years after the Civil War, and it was officially ended by a living prophet, Wilford Woodruff, in 1890. There is someone for everyone, and in my opinion, after the Resurrection following the Second Coming of Jesus Christ, most of the Milennium will be spent making sure everyone's family gets straightened out. The Lord's standard is one wife for one husband, and that's it. Have a happy day.

There is really no such thing as having "more than one wife". Marrying one spouse makes a person inelligible to marry anyone else, so going through the motions of additional "weddings" does not result in additional marriages, but only in the supposedly legitimization of concubines.

Isn't promoting your web site a violation of the spam rules? But I'll leave it to someone else to report you. I think all these people should see your site oriented toward arranging these marriages and decide for themselves.
Also readers should understand that "polygamy" is having more than one spouse, be it husband or wife, as they answer this Q.

the point of polygamy was not for pleasure but to support the women. remember, this was during a time and place where women could not support themselves financially and either relied on their fathers or their husbands. there are several conditions to polygamy also.
i'm not saying that this is acceptable today because there is no need. most men who have multiple marriages today do it only for pleasure and i am against that.

Although, polygamy might be frowned upon because it is seen as socailly unacceptable, its not necessarily what makes Islam bad in regard to marriage. The thing I find disturbing is the age at which islam allows marriage, as young as the age of six because of Mohammads wife-Aisha whom he married at that age. Also, theres the matter of sex slave permitted in sura (33:50)
"O Prophet! We have made lawful to thee thy wives to whom thou hast paid their dowers; and those whom thy right hand possesses out of the prisoners of war whom Allah has assigned to thee...."

Hollywood? good plan.
The wives and children kill each other

You have to be out of your mind. Most guys can't even take care of one wife much less more.
The LDS church will EXCOMMINICATE a person for polygomy.

I can't imagine why any sane man would want more than one wife.
At least at the same time.
