From what it sounds you have a ill cavy. you may take him to the vet. Small animals like mice, rats, hamsters and guinea pigs will mask there illnesses as long as achievable by using fact they're on the bottem of the foodstuff chain and dont choose for to look week. He would have a respitory an infection and infections like this would kill them enormously speedy. yet I additionally study lots of the antibiotics given to cavys may be deadly so i'm going to record them for you so which you will tell your vet you dont choose for him on them. they're: a million. Amoxicillian(Clavamox) 2. Ampacillian 3. Bacitracin 4. Cefadroxil 5. Cephalexin*(spinoff Cephadroxil)* 6. Cephalosporins 7. Cephazolin 8. Chlortetracycline 9. Clindamycin 10. Dihydrostreptomycin 11. Erythromycin 12. Lincomycin 13. Oxytetracycline 14. Penicillian 15. Streptomycin shop this record and take it to the vet with you as a catalogue of risky meds to furnish in case he could choose for some. wish I helped and that i wish he feels greater useful. good luck.

It sounds like they are "popcorning". Guinea pigs do this when they are very excited and have energy to burn. Kind of like how dogs run around like crazy when they are excited. It's definitely a good thing when guinea pigs do that, it means they are very happy.
Also you should think about keeping them inside, unlike Rabbits they don't do as well outside unless they are housed properly. Guinea pigs can get sick easily from the cold and over heat if it's too hot.

They're popcorning. It's what they do when they're so happy, they can't contain it. It's most likely because they're inside now. Guinea pigs do not to well outside at all. Please keep them inside from now on. Especially if she's pregnant, keeping her outside is very risky. And be sure to keep the male in a seperate cage. Since you know she's pregnant, remove him now. He can impregnate her within hours after giving birth. Be sure to remove any male babies at 21 days. Males can live with dad and females can stay with mom after that time.

I've never had a guinea pig before, but maybe they're nervous to be in a different place. I know when we put my dog in the house one time, he went spastic because he wasn't used to be in the house so he was running all over the place. I know your g.p.'s are in a cage but it's still a new place to them. Maybe thats what it is.

First, unless you know guinea pigs inside and out, you should not be breeding them.

Second, the behavior you describe sounds totally normal to me. Sometimes they like to run around and play. Sometimes they spaz. It's ok.

Being that one is pregnant, you should separate them as soon as possible.

It sounds like they're excited about their new little house. Guinea pigs are alot like kids in that they love to be entertained. They are very social creatures and get bored easily. They get excited when they have a new toy.

They're probably investigating it. I don't know about guinea pigs, necessarily, but my sister's hamsters act the same, and they are just investigating.

Good Luck!

Congrats on the babies to be!

Maybe they're exited about their little house thing you put up because now they have something else to play with. Or maybe they felt one the babies kicking or somethng:)

Sounds like they are courting. They will mate after she gives birth. Remove one until 3 days after birth to give her a break.
