I don't think it can expire, unless it's been opened for a while. It might have been something wrong at the place it was made. Perhaps bad bottling practices or ingredients. Perhaps it was something you ate?

Actually yes, wine can go bad if it was not kept properly for a long period of time. If it was stored at over 80 degrees over a summer it can turn, especially if it had a high sugar content. However, it would be pretty obvious by the taste because it would taste more like a liquor or even a vinegar (although unlikely, making vinegar is a more complicated process) than a wine. I doubt you could have had a couple of glasses and not been have able to tell something was wrong with it.
Possibly something you ate may have been bad. It usually takes 6-8 hours for food poisoning to really hit you, so possibly lunch if you were sick in the evening.

if you are not a person who drinks very often then just a couple of glasses can do that to you,,, nothing to do with the age or expiration of the wine, though wine in a bottle is not good the next day unless properly recorked it is fine , it should only get better with age uncorked unless a very cheap grade.it you dont drink a lot try the wine in the box it has a tap so it self seals, and though people make fun of it , it is quite good and you can drink a glass or two and know the rest will still be good six months from now, i personally prefer, franzia sunset blush, in a five liter box *though) you can get the two liter size, it goes well with any fish, meat or poultry, and is a good sipping wine,,, hope this helps. hope you have a wonderful new year

enemies of wine:
- light
- extreme temperature hot or cold
- air
check that is was stored in a cool (50-65degrees) place, not in direct sunlight and the seal was on properly. if it was sitting in a hot/cold car trunk or something this would really affect that taste and could have a bad effect. but you would have tasted it right away and probably not have drank it. it could have been shipped to the store in that condition too.
it is true people can be allergic to wine. wine has a histamines in it.
also, some days i can drink a lot and others i can't. there is no reason for that. but sometimes i get a hang over from drinking the same amount than when I didn't! could have just been a stomach virus too.

Wine can go bad, but you normally can taste it. Someone brought us some wine from Portugal, we waited about 10 years before opening it. IT just tasted terrible.
I also kept a bottle of pineapple wine from Hawaii for several years and opened it on a special occassion. It also tasted terrible.
Not all wines get better with age. But, I think if the wine had gone bad, you wouldn't have been able to drink it. I know we couldn't.

If a wine is improperly stored it can "go bad" as it were. Usually this results in a taste more like vinigar than wine. Normally wince goes bad from being stored at too high a temperature for too long (that's why wine cellars are usually fairly cool to cold). it normally takes quite a while for the wone to go bad though (months oe even years at high temperature over 90 degrees)...so it might be a reaction to something else...

If you're partying one night and that's what you happened to drink that's ok. If you're sitting alone in your room every night downing 2 bottles of wine, you're probably going to need a new liver soon. It also depends what you're drinking. If you drink 2 bottles of a Sangria (usually around 7% ABV) that's equivalent to one bottle of a Rose (usually around 13.5% ABV). Just mind the alcohol content and space out your glasses of wine over a long enough period of time and you'll be fine. Just don't freakin' drive ok?

Wine, like any other item that is bottled can go bad. it depends on the temperature and the method of bottling too..was the bottle clean when filled ?...was the wine kept at correct and non fluctuating temperature ? etc...many things can make wine go off.

i don't think that's soppose to happen, so theoretically no. however my sister did buy a bottle of hennesey one day and nobody drank it because it had a funny taste and smell. she returned it to the liquor store.
it could also be that u was getting sick with a stomach bug. or maybe u drank more wine than usual and it made u sick. there is always a first time for everything. i say don't buy that brand anymore.

Other than contamination or dirty glasses, the only thing to worry about with wine is it turning into vinegar and you would have tasted that, as it would be undrinkable to anyone who doesn't normally drink vinegar.
