If you read your own question a few times you will realize that he is not yours. He's throwing you a bone when he says "maybe we can work things out later..." Don't blow that up into something that doesn't exist. Three years is too much. You were meant to be someone's Number One in life, not their "seconds." Stop rewinding the tape and driving yourself crazy to see if there's still a relationship. I'm sure you are a wonderful person who is probably a better catch than the person he's with...but he's not with you. Do yourself a favor and be honest. And, move on.

wow, thats a toughie, I think you should get over him, that would be the right thing to do. Because you would be waiting and waiting till he asks you out already, and hes still not sure if hes over his ex, and thats not fair that you should wait all this time for him and hes out their playing with your mind, he probably flirts with you at times making you feel happy , then at other times he starts talking about his ex which gives you mixed signals. I would wait an see for maybe one more month but it nothing happens get over him and find a new one.

Respect his feelings. If he wants to be with someone else then it is not going to work out with being with him. Atleast he is being honest with you.

Move on with your life. Start doing things with your friends and family members. Do things that you like and get involved in activities.

As you start feeling better you will meet new people and be happy about your life again. good luck.

Sometimes we just have to accept that if we like someone and they don't like us back.. yeah it sucks, but I think the best thing to do is try to move on. i mean u can be his friend and all, but he seems like he interested in someone else at the moment and u cant help who someone likes, but who knows? He might end up liking u one day =]

There are other fish in the sea, so they say. Let him go and move on - if this ex of his is no good, he'll come crawling back.

Turn him loose and go on with your life, if he has doubts now it will not work for you.

I think you should talk to him in detail and ask him where he head is and what he suggests you do.
