I've heard that once you accept that other people are so intertwined in your doings, you'll realize that they've driven you to where you are right now. And that place is in search for super-consciousness. So in reality, you have these very people to thank for your progress.

Perhaps some elevated levels can be gained through concentration alone, but it's hard for us to make major strides if we dislike others.

They say that with elevated consciousness comes power, and just like a Karate Master wouldn't teach deadly moves to a dishonest or dangerous person, in the same way, we wouldn't be granted this power only to turn it on others, even if unknowingly.

That's what Christ means when he says, "Bless those that curse you, and curse those that bless you". Because it's when you're being beaten that you search for a higher happiness, not when you're being praised.

I dunno.

Everyone has imperfections. You don't NEED to like most people. But you DO need to treat everyone with respect. It's fine to have a core group of close friends and family. Just don't make the mistake of thinking you need to treat well only the people you like. "Do unto others"--even when it's not convenient-- is a big part of that elevated consciousness you want.

I doubt it. If you have realized that you don't like most people, that must mean they bother you and if that is the case you cannot evolve if you give people that control over you.

Consiousness comes with understanding. And understanding breeds acceptance (in this case acceptance of human behavior). So eventually yes.

Sure. Read Moliere's "The Misanthrope" and you'll see what I mean.

Not my style of elevation, but whatever floats your boat.
