When I try to reinstall Windows XP using the XP CD, I can't get past the "Windows Setup" screen, because it says that no hard disk drives were recognized when I tried to install Windows. I disconnected and reconnected my hard drive, and browsed through the drive with the command prompt. How can I reinstall Windows?

I can give you a link that deals with hard drive problems.
Some drive problems can be easily fixed by yourself using easily available tools. I found the info at http://fixit.in useful. Try this site, if you can get what is required.
