I've had iTunes for a couple months now and suddenly it stopped working. Everytime I try to open it or whenever my ipod tries to open it, a screen pops up that says that Windows encountered a problem and had to close iTunes, before it even opens itself. Has anyone had this problem or know what to do to fix it? I've tried to reinstall, fix any problems, and uninstalling to reinstall it. I don't know what else to do. Please help me...

try uninstalling every version of iTunes and Quicktime you have in your Add/Remove section of your control panel.

Then try to reinstall iTunes.

The only thing that I can suggest in addition to making sure that all versions of QuickTime and iTunes are uninstalled before you try reinstalling again is to make sure you're using the most recent version of the iTunes installer. Also, if you've installed any new software recently, that could be causing a conflict with iTunes. If you installed anything else around the time that iTunes stopped working, try uninstalling that and see if it helps.

well its mainly because itunes is having so many people on because everyone is using it from christmas, that it is overloading and to keep from doing that it stops people from getting in. so all you have to do is be patient and keep trying.
