well scripture says that the Bible is the Word of God. that the Spirit moved upon everyone who wrote the books and they were all inspired by God. as far as its translation goes. it is proven to be 98 percent acurate. with the 2 percent being commas and grammar. and that the meaning is still 100 percent acurate. in a sence that is like me saying go pick up that chair and put it in that corner and i point to the corner and chair. or like me saying move that chair and put it over there and i point to the corner. they say 2 different things but mean the same thing. i believe in God and that he created the heavens and earth and all of us. and i believe if he is that powerfull then he can make sure his word stays the same.

and God said his word wont change. and well so far they have proven it hasnt. if anyone new what they went thru when they translated the Bible i think they would know why it is still accurate. they would be killed if they mistranslated the Bible. even a word. or they would lose there arm. they had to copy word for word. they were not allowed to look up a whole sentence and then write that down. they had to memorize it word for word. that is they would look at one word and write it down. take a book or something even something small and read a page or paragraph and then write it down. and then do the same thing but word for word. and compare. and if you know you made a mistake start over cause that is what they did when translating the Bible. they were afraid if they must up for there lives.

Jesus is the living word of God. John 1:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. John 1:10 He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not. Gen 1:1 In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.

Speaking of logical fallacies, this is a straw-man argument. Bible-believers maintain that the Bible is the Word of God based on fulfilled prophesies, and not on the fact that 'the Bible says so.'

Conservative Christians: "The Bible is the Word of God. The Bible says so!"

Atheists: "The Bible is junk. We should throw it in the fire."

It doesn't have to be an either/or. Can't The Bible be of the utmost importance yet NOT be the literal Word of God? I find it to be so.

The Bible points us in the direction of the Father who loves all of us as if we are His children. And it illuminates for us the life and teachings of Christ, whose love, compassion, and commitment to doing the Will of God should be inspiring to us all, no matter our religious Faith.

Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen. Hebrews 11:1

All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness,so that the man of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.

yes and no, the bible is a collection of stories written by men thousands of years ago. The men who wrote them (or the men who read the words other men have written) believed that they were directed by God to write those words...God didn't just sit up there on a cloud with a pen and paper writing stuff down then just chuck it to the Earth in hopes someone would come along and pick it up.

If the bible contains the revelation of God to this world and some people call it the word of God, why is that a problem.

Well of course. The Bible is God's word. God revealed His words to the people writing the Bible thousands of years ago. God tells each and every one of us that it is His word, and that it is right. It also takes one simple thing to believe this. Faith!

Heard it all before, including your argument.

It was written by men who wrote what they thought was right. Their interpretation of what they thought was the message of god. Unfortunately God doesn't exist so their interpretations of a non existent being were meaningless. This has created chaos now for 2 millenia

It is fascinating how desperately you fight against faith. One must presume from such that you recognize its reality in general, but are absorbed by the effort to deny it individually.
When you are tired of your anger and bitterness, come on by. We'd love to love you.
Luther: The Bible holds the Word of God as the manger held the Christ.
