Who will win the nextel cup for 07?

I know there are alot of Dale Jr. fans out there, so most will say Jr., but I have to go with Tony Stewart winning it in '07 or Kevin Harvick for his first Championship in the Nextel series.

I think it'll be a brawl out there this year! Jimmie Johnson finally got his trophy, so THAT suspense is over -- not that I'm a 48 fan (I'm not), but everyone went on and on about how he hadn't won a championship yet.

I think there's a list of serious contenders:
-- Matt Kenseth;
-- Jeff Burton (hey, he showed us he still has what it takes, in the right equipment)
-- Dale Earnhardt, Jr. (my personal favourite. I think he'll make the Chase and be a threat, but I don't know if he'll take it all)
-- Jeff Gordon (ugh)
-- Kevin Harvick
-- Tony Stewart
-- Denny Hamlin (unless he has a sophmore season like Kasey Kahne's)


I'd like to say Kasey Kahne, Kyle Busch, Ryan Newman, Carl Edwards, and Greg Biffle all have a shot, too, but they just didn't seem to have it together this past year, and I think they'll need to bust their butts to get back on track for Feb '07.

My dark horse? Elliott Sadler. I'd love to see him take the Cup.

I like your two option, Jr. hasnt one a cup yet, and like I said in another answer, just look at what some good news can do for your morale and race strategy. Gordon at Sonoma announced his engagement and won the race making it his 9th road course victory and 5th at that track. Then he got married and his wife found out she was pregnant so go figure. I think hes going to be a great dad and with all this good stuff happening to him then I think that he is going to have a great year and one day I hope he ties with Sr. and Petty for the most championships and I think we all know he deserves it. So this year I think he will have that drive for five same as this year and he will get it. Now as for the people in the Chase, I think it will be Jeff Gordon, Kasey Kahne, Jimmie Johnson, Dale Earnhardt Jr., Tony Stewart, for sure, and the other five are a toss up. As much as I dont like Tony Stewart he will make it cuz he didnt this year, and everything. Now other drivers that could make the Chase: Ryan Newman, Brian Vickers, Casey Mears, Jamie McMurray, some of the other rookies, and Carl Edwards so I think that if you put those 5 who are deffinately going to make the Chase, if they dont I'll be so mad, and then a combination of the other guys your going to have a great Chase, and I am really interested in seeing what the new Chase is going to look like and also I'm glad that NBC is going to only broadcast like 6 races. Thank goodness I hated their announcers and they had way to many commericals. I really would hate Kurt and Kyle Busch, Matt Kenseth, and a few other guys to make the Chase because I absolutely despise them. They are horrible. I really hope that Jeff Gordon wins the Chase but only time will tell.

Tony Stewart will win the 07 championship. He earned more points during the 10 race chase than any of the chase drivers. Tony is the best.

Junior will win it all this year in 07 Jeff Gordon won't make the chase and neither will Jimmie Johnson.....Kasey Kahne will be a threat i think as well for the cup but he will not win it
