I'm not Catholic, I'm Orthodox and the Catholic Church isn't the only church that declares who is a Saint. My church has their Saints as well.

St Mungo the patron Saint of Glasgow
a humble man who was a loner and wanderer ... who was compassionate and cared for the homeless on his travels
i can relate to him a lot
i also like St Bernadette .. her story is a beautiful one , with her visions and the disbelief from others and her silent suffering

i can relate to both these saints

Reggie Bush, #25 for Running Back for the New Orleans Saints. Come on, you set yourself up for that one. While I find that sainthood is a fascinating concept; I don't think that the Catholic church has the right to declare who's a Saint and who's not.

My favorite saints are St. Maximillian Kolbe, the priest who gave his life to save another person in the concentration camp, and St. Noel Chabanel, one of the Jesuit Martyrs of Canada.

I also love St. Anthony and St. Philomena.

I chose St. Maria Faustina as my Confirmation namesake. She was given the Divine Mercy Chaplet prayer from Jesus. I also admire St. Maria Goretti, St. Maximilian Kolbe, and St. Pio.
