1. Serious doesn't end with an "e"
2. This belongs in the Health category
3. The type of birth control you are using, determines when it becomes fully effecive. None are 100% effective. Your doctor should have advised you with re: to when your birth control would be effective (e.g., 1 full pack for the pill, immediately for depo provera, etc).
4. A condom should be worn to help prevent STDs and is a good backup to other birth control methods.

The more protection you have, the better. You only said "birth control". What kind of birth control are you using? To be honest, there is NO method that is 100% effective. The pill is 99% effective, so that is the best form of birth control. You SHOULD also use condoms to be extra safe. (Not only from getting pregnant, but from sexually transmitted diseases, too.) When taking the pill, you need to be sure to be really careful and never miss a pill. You even need to try to take it around the same TIME every day. (You can give or take a few hours, but not more than that.)

***By the way. GOOD FOR YOU. It's so nice to FINALLY see someone on here who is mature enough to try to take responsibility for herself. Keep it up!

NO birth control is 100% effective. Pills are 97% and condoms not much more than 95%. You can use a spermicide to better your chances of not getting pregnant. Regardless, if you start the pill, it isn't completely effective for about a month after you start, so you will need to use a condom for that time at least. Good luck.

For the first month that you start using Birth Control, it's recommended to continue using condoms, as your body adjusts. Then, you do not have to use condoms anymore (although, if you are young, and/or do not strictly keep up with your Birth Control, then you should anyways.)

Condoms, if they don't break, prevent sperm from entering the vagina because the ejaculate is kept inside the rubber sheath. Condoms also help to prevent cross contamination of whatever germs are in your vagina or are in the male ejaculate.

Birth control pills fool your body into thinking that the ova is not fertilized and then the chemicals in the pills get your body to expell the ova during your period.

Then make him wear a condom, maybe 2. Birth control does NOT stop STDs.

the pill is 99% effective, so it's not 100%, but me and my wife have used it for years, and it never failed.

never used a condom either with it.

but you should use a condom with it for the first couple of months, it needs a couple of months to kick in good.

you can take a chance, but it's better to be safe, or at least pull out if you don't want to use a condom.

I think the pill prevents the body from releasing the egg to where it can get fertilized, not sure, but I think thats how it works.

ok check it out.Birth control works a few different ways the condom works by keeping the sperm out of you ( probably the best way after not doing it at all)then there's the pill
it works by faking out your body and making it think it's already preggers(unfortunately, it doesn't ALWAYS work) there are a few other ways. I would recommend looking it up on medical sites get educated, maybe call Planned parenthood.

I wouldn't suggest letting the guy just ejaculate inside of you. Even if you are taking the pill it isn't 100% full proof. There are other things out there also that you can catch like STD's. Use a condom every time.

it's always good to use a condom with birth control since it lowers the chances of getting pregnant even more...also, if you go to a doctor, they can implant this thing inside of you that can last up to 5 years and has the same effectivity as the pill, except without the sideffects i believe...
good luck
have fun
glad u're staying safe
xao:)
