Contact them and ask for an HDTV receiver that does. Other-
wise, perhaps they didn't get that memo yet in your area.

The simple answer?
Your area hasn't shown positive enough growth in HD reception to warrant HDMI capable products.... Convince enough of your neighbors that HD is worth it, and that HDMI IS the future of HDTV (which is pretty much is the defacto standard of!) and you should be set... granted this can take YEARS... but COST is the final decision of the provider company... Will they make their money back in a timely fashion for the products/services they offer or not...? Are you a large city suburb? Or are you more likely a small city suburb? That will also help determine your source needs/capabilities!

Hope this helps! If you need more specific answers... (there isn't anything in the consumer electronics industry I can't find out!) just grant me the privilege of your best answer, and feel free to privately message me with any further questions and I will make sure you are taken care of!

My Comcast in Oregon has the Motorola HD DVR, which has HDMI output. I suggest contacting your Comcast office and see if you can exchange out for a newer model. I am guessing your DVR is more than 3 years old, if it doesn't have HDMI out. HDMI is a rather new technology. It's only been out for about 4-5 years.l

You don't specify a model, so it is tough to answer.
Comcast does provide receivers with HDMI out.

Many possible reasons:
a) An old model
b) It is just a standard definition receiver
c) It has a DVI (so you can use a DVI to HDMI cable + an audio cable)
