light bulb hmmmmm, well it has created jobs for all the people who work in the various industries creating the componets of the bulb, glass, metal, transportation, marketing, etc. But the bulb in and of itself---NONE. The bulb alone will not abolish the darkness, it might make a pretty good looking art piece, maybe even a floater for fishing. NO Electricity, no light.
