Many times when I study It, a "thing" happens to me. Hard to explain, but it's like I find myself being drawn from one Scripture to another. It's almost like I'm not in control. It can last for hours. I never know where I'm being taken. It's very cool!

properly, what he has carried out may well be painful now, yet look at it in the long term. you're saying you have been looking forward to getting married and beginning a family participants. To me, it seems smart to have infants with somebody of a similar faith. the main important clarification for that is because of the fact anybody has their own concepts approximately how infants could be raised. you're able to of faster or later (the two with your own mothers and dads or aunts and uncles etc) considered the placement the place one discern comes to a decision one element, the different discern thinks some thing else and an argument starts. this occurs often adequate whilst the mothers and dads have a similar ideals, so it may be lots worse whilst the two mothers and dads are committed to a distinctive faith or perception. it may've been worse nonetheless, he could've given you an ultimatum which you're able to transform to Christianity in the different case he could split up with you. a minimum of this sort he's recognising your distinctive ideals, accepting which you do no longer desire to transform and calling it an afternoon so as which you will the two flow on and locate somebody else.

Studying the Bible is the only way to see how it all works together. People like to take bits and pieces of the Bible and apply them to situations they weren't meant for just to discredit the Bible.

Paul says in the bible to study and shew thyself approved...2 Timothy 2:15...
In order for you to understand it is not a matter of being brainwashed it is a matter of the Holy Ghost giving the interpretation..since true believers are not allowed to have a Private interpretation...
Firstly Jesus told us that he was going away..but if he went away he would send back a comforter..for us...and the comforter would teach us ALL things and bring ALL things Christ spoke back to our rememberance John14:26..
He ...the Holy Ghost is our teacher...and He is THE interpreter...so the real way to study and shew ourselves approved is to invite him to teach us...and I garauntee it will be a study...

By your reasoning, a non-believer would study the Bible and still NOT believe right?
Jesus said, "Knock, and the door will be open for you." For those of us who follow Christ, reading the Bible is an important step in asking for help, in opening our hearts, in knocking.
The Bible CAN make a believer out of a non-believer, and a non-believer out of a believer. I seek to connect with God, to gain peace and wisdom, to open my heart to Jesus' teachings. So I read the Bible. Simple.

You can study something with intellectual honesty, even though you have a bias towards it.
Take for instance the Jews who study the holocaust. Simply because they may have an agenda, namely that it never happens again, it doesn't impair their ability to engage in honest study.

I study the Bible in order to learn more about how God would have me live. I study to learn more about God. I study to learn how God would have me treat others. I will never completely know all that the Bible has contained within - that would take more time on Earth than I am allotted.

Well thats kinda silly... I mean Doctors study medicine right? Even though its open for everyone to study it, Doctors do it more because because they are a more than general interest in it. Why would it be any different?
