Each of the above answers is pretty good advice, the only thing I would add is to take it one day at a time. Plan to complete an activity each day. Don't get overwhelmed by saying "I can't do this, or I never finish." Each day when you do finish have a mini celebration for yourself. Pretty soon you will have built up 30 days of consistency, then 60, then 90 and so on. The best way to eat an elephant is bite by bite...

Read a lot of good books. I recommend the Chicken Soup for the Soul series. Also, The Success Principal by Jack Canfield or The Difference Maker by John Maxwell.

Keep trying different interests and as one man said don't compare to others. When you find something you like and do fair at keep working to beat yourself each day. You'll reach it at your pace and nobody else's, thats all thats important. Theres no time
table or time table. When you get to that point you'll be doing well instead of fair and this is where the hard work and dedication pays off. You may not be great but you can do well at anything you work at and don't let anybody tell you different.

Try talking nicely and respectfully of yourself. If you don't believe in yourself, you won't stay motivated. None of us would!
Also, try something for just the fun of it. Why be the best when you can have the best time? That will build your confidence and keep you motivated. If you aren't motivated to do something, maybe it's because you really aren't interested in that event and should find another project or hobby that brings you true joy.

the first thing in self motivation is not to say this maybe,whatever,i can't because you can do it but only thing it is to it is to let your mind know what your body need to do and stick with it some times i keep in mind of some things that mean so much to me to achieve my goal but keep in your mind that you can be,and do any-thing just put it to an plan

spend less time comparing yourself to others and their expectations of you ... be positive about yourself and wake up everyday believing you can accomplish the goals you set for yourself ... be careful not to set your daily goals so high that they're unrealsitic or unachievable
