Even though I am not a muslim, I still believe in some aspects of the religion. I wonder if it would be offensive for me (a non-muslim) to wear a Hajib or Abaya simply because I like what it represents?

I would say no. It might mislead some people, but I have noticed that women in hijab get a lot more respect than normally dressed ladies.

You certainly wouldn't get any friction from Muslim women. There are so few of them that wear hijab that a kindred spirit is more enjoyable than infuriating.

Wearing veil is not only Muslim women's privilege. Notice how women cover their hair/heads back in the old days.
You may wear anything your heart desire. Some people accept veil as one of the fashion trend, so go ahead..

Muslims aren't the only women who cover their heads. I think it'd be wrong for anyone to be offended by your covering yourself. The Muslim women I know would be intrigued by it.

No, not to 99.99999999999% of Muslims, and possibly even the remaining percentage.
